Introduction

Squishlings ("the App", "we", "our") is a children's mobile game designed for kids ages 5-8. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and all users. This privacy policy explains how we handle information in our App.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

Specifically, Squishlings:

Does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal identifiers
Does not require account creation or login
Does not collect location data
Does not collect photos, videos, or audio from the device
Does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies
Does not contain any social features, chat, or messaging
Does not contain links to external websites or third-party services accessible by children

Local Data Storage

Squishlings stores game progress (scores, achievements, creature collection, and settings) locally on your device only. This data:

Never leaves your device
Is not transmitted to any server
Is not shared with any third party
Can be deleted at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app

Crash Diagnostics

Squishlings uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports when the app encounters an error. This data includes:

Device model and operating system version
App version and crash stack trace (code paths only, no user data)

Crash reports do not contain any personal information, names, gameplay data, or user-identifiable content. This data is used solely to fix bugs and improve app stability. Crash data is automatically deleted after 90 days.

Crashlytics is disabled in debug/development builds. No other analytics services are used.

Advertising

Squishlings contains no advertisements of any kind. There are no banner ads, interstitial ads, video ads, or sponsored content.

Purchases

Squishlings offers an optional premium subscription ("Squishlings Plus") that unlocks additional game modes and creature content. This subscription is processed entirely through Google Play Billing. Squishlings:

Does not store any payment information within the app
Does not process payments directly — all billing is handled by Google Play
Requires parental/guardian action through the platform's purchase flow
All subscription management (cancellation, renewal) is handled through Google Play subscription settings

Children cannot initiate, authorize, or complete any purchases from within the game without passing through a parental age gate.

Internet Connectivity

Squishlings does not require an internet connection for core gameplay. All game features function fully offline. The only network communication is with Google Play Billing when checking subscription status or processing purchases initiated by a parent or guardian.

Permissions

Squishlings requests the following device permissions:

BILLING (Android): Required for optional subscription processing through Google Play Billing

No other device permissions are requested or required.

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Squishlings is designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations:

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
We do not require any personal information to use the App
The App does not contain behavioral advertising
The App does not include social networking functionality
All purchase flows are gated behind a parental age verification challenge
The App does not contain links to external websites
External actions (sharing, rating) are gated behind parental age verification

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties. Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to share.

Data Deletion

You can delete all locally stored game data at any time:

In-app: Parent Dashboard → "Delete All Game Data"
Uninstall: Removing the app deletes all local data

Data Security

Local game save data is stored using encrypted device storage. Crash diagnostic data is transmitted via HTTPS. Since Squishlings does not collect personal data, there is minimal data security risk.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
